Fat vs Clothing

VS
Just a quick question to anyone willing to take on this topic...Do chubby/fat people ever look in the mirror before they leave the house or look down even?

Before you get your too tight panties/underoos in a wad, let me tell you...I am considered not only obese, but morbidly obese by just about everyone. I can call all fat people out because I am one. So...ppppbbbblllt!

I see women all the time wearing pants that are actually showing the top of their crack, pinching their side fat out over the top of the jeans and giving them a severe camel toe. I want so badly to go up and tell them, "Your pants are 3 sizes too small. I know you know this cause it looks very painful. Stop trying to convince your body that it still fits into pants that you wore 5 years ago."

In my opinion, these people give us other fat people a bad name. It shows how desperate these girls are to still fit the image of today's society...they want to fit into those tiny clothes. Instead, they should realize that if they wore clothing that flattered their bodies, sexy is more a state of mind...so they would look good in the right clothes and feel sexy cause they looked good and the clothes fit.

How does a guy have a camel toe??? Someone tap him on the shoulder and quietly, politely inform him this is not normal, please. Do not insult, make fun of, or belittle him...just nicely guide him to the big guys section and have him measured for a pair of pants that fit.

Spandex. Rayon. Silk.
No. No. and No.
These fabrics were not meant for us bigger folk. These fabrics, well, at least the spandex were not meant for any body type. It should be illegal! I do not want to see even a skinny guy's junk being hugged tightly bu a pair of spandex, *shudders*. But really, if you have rolls, even one big one...do not wear any of these fabrics. Especially if they are covered in wild prints, bright prints or seasonal prints! OMG! We don't need that following us! Us fatties have it bad enough...so I say "Enough already!" Stop doing things to make it worse.

Something I will never understand is why they make pig and cow print in plus sizes. I will never forget the day I walked into a J.C. Penney and as I am passing by the clothing area to go into the main Mall, I see the plus size section...nothing but pig and cow print p.j.'s!! I was shocked! I honestly did not know what to do. I quietly grabbed my brother's arm and slowly turned him to face these p.j.'s. He knew right away by the look on my face. Who? Who would do that?

Now, with that said, on to the designers and clothing makers. Why is it that in their minds, if you wear a size 2X-4X or beyond, you are 6'2" tall? I mean it's really bad that when you try on clothes that should be your size, the crotch hangs to your ankles. Come on! Can we get them a few models of different sizes? Then maybe we could get some real sizes on the shelves. I think they are guessing blindly.

And why, oh why would you want to wear a huge sweatshirt with huge Christmas trees or pumpkins or turkeys on them? Can I have some nice holiday clothing please? Stop trying to make us look more funky than we already make ourselves look! Thanks.

With all this said, I would like to say, there are people of every size that are fashionably challenged. Unfortunately, it stands out more on us people of size. Take a look in the mirror, look down, ask someone...but stop going out asking for snickers and giggles. You're making us look bad.

  1. I agree! I think the problem with the designers is that they just use a template when they create the "plus" sizes. You're right, if they used real life people, the clothing would fit better.

As a matter of fact, somebody needs to create clothing for different body types. Something for the apple, something for the pear...

  2. Oh, that would be great! I think they just think we are expendables...we don't need to look good.

  3. Why do most plus size shirts stop at your belly button? We need 3 or 4 more inches. i am not out looking for belly shirts!!! If I do happen to find clothes that fit they look like the belong to my grand mother.I have found one store close to me that has close I like and fit and if im lucky they are on sail and i can afford them.
