Cafe Arnold?

Every morning on my way back from taking the girls to school, I get a craving...usually a flaky buttered biscuit. But...I do not want to drive to any of the areas that offer fast food for us on the go...not to mention the traffic early in the morning. So I am always wishing we had a place somewhere in between that offered a nice hot, fast breakfast. I was thinking this as I was wanting to bring Johnnie home a coffee and biscuit this morning, but I only had a few minutes before he had to leave for work, I'd have never made it to the restaurant and back in time. That's when I noticed that at our local gas station at the four way, has an empty building sitting next to it and there's a For Lease sign in every window. Man how I wish I knew how to start up a small cafe business. Not that I have the funds or the credit to do so at this time, but I will soon. (At least I will have fixed my credit soon). I do not know how people get the start up for a small business or all the things that go into opening a small cafe. But it is something I have dreamed of for years and years. I love to cook, more importantly, I love to feed people and make their bellies happy. 8)

I would love there to be a place for all of us who live on this side of town to go to that's fast, easily accessible, and just a nice quiet place to enjoy yourself and please your palate. Coffee, biscuits, muffins, bagels, sandwiches, vegetarian dishes, fresh fruits and veggies for fast snacks for yourself or the little ones, and my many different, savory dinner dishes. I love to make up new recipes and try out old ones on new people. One thing my cafe would offer is a wide variety of foods for small kids. I can't stand going to a restaurant and having the same 4 or 5 options for my kids every time...cheeseburger, grilled cheese, chicken strips, hot dogs, and macaroni & cheese. My kids sometimes want a PB&J, or smaller versions of the adult dishes...My youngest  is a big time steak and salad girl. The one place we found that offers steak as a kids menu option charges just as much for the meal as if it were an adult meal. Unacceptable. I would offer the kids many different options, not just greasy, fried chicken.

I am going to do this. It may not be this year, or next, but I will do this within the next 5 years. It is my plan, my goal. Now I just need to research and think of a name. I know I will succeed, there's no other option...not to mention I can just feel it. I was meant to do this.
